Abandoned house hit by third arson this year

City Council to decide tax increases tonight

Tonight the Lynnwood City Council will consider raising a series of taxes to help fill a nearly $22 million budget shortfall. Mayor Don Gough has proposed a two percent increase in the utility tax (water, sewer and electricity). Lynnwood man wins Seattle Marathon

There were nearly 1,500 runners and a Lynnwood man came out on top in the Seattle Marathon today. 29-year-old Teshome Kokebe finished first in the 26.2 mile race with a winning time of 2:30:57 , more than a minute ahead of the second place finisher. Kokebe also won the Generva Marathon in Switzerland this past May. »
