South county emergency shelters are being opened tonight

The snow and cold temperatures have prompted the activation of the South Snohomish County Emergency Shelter Network. Shelters will be open tonight through Friday.

Heavy snow makes for a slick morning commute

Lynnwood was one of the hardest hit areas by snow this morning.
The first reports of snow came in about 3:00 early Wednesday morning and it remained heavy throughout the morning. Lynnwood is right in the middle of the “convergence zone,” where the most snow was expected.
