The snow and cold temperatures have prompted the activation of the South Snohomish County Emergency Shelter Network. Shelters will be open tonight through Friday. Update: Investigators say this house fire was caused by a burning candle placed too close to a Christmas tree. It caused more than $50,000 damage. Monday, December 13 in the Lynnwood High School main gym there was something going on that is literally the difference between life and death.
