Two officers dragged by suspect vehicle on I-5

Two Lynnwood police special operations officers suffered minor injuries when they were dragged by a suspect’s vehicle on I-5. It happened Thursday night about 10 p.m.

Ribbon cutting, free swimming today at new Lynnwood Rec Center

Body found near Picnic Point County Park

A body has been found on the beach near Picnic Point County Park.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office received a call shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday from a train conductor who spotted a possible body washed ashore just south of the park. Deputies responded and found a man’s body on the beach.

You might have noticed a new sign for Henry’s Donuts on 196th near 44th. A banner outside the store says “coming soon,” although an opening date has not yet been announced.

Wrong-way driver dies on I-5 off-ramp at 196th

A wrong-way driver was found dead on an I-5 off-ramp in Lynnwood last night.
According to our news partners at the Seattle Times, the 68-year-old man may have died from a medical problem before his car drifted off the the ramp and stopped without hitting any other cars, Trooper Mark Francis said.
