Police need help identifying Wal-Mart thief

Snohomish County Sheriff’s detectives are looking for the man wanted for a theft and assault at Wal-Mart on 164th two weeks ago.
On Oct. 17, police say he entered the store and tried to steal some items. When he was confronted by security, he assaulted the security officer and ran from the store.

Hobby Lobby — a national chain of craft, decor and hobby stores — opened for business Friday. It’s in James Village at the former Joe’s store near Highway 99 and 196th.

Large Halloween display stolen from family’s front yard

Hillary, who lives across from Lynnwood High School, told us someone stole Halloween decorations out of their front yard earlier this week.  They have a large wooden bear that they’ve decorated during different holidays for years. They’ve never had a problem until now.
