Peek inside the new Anthony’s Seafood Grill

We’re getting our first look inside Anthony’s Seafood Grill at Alderwood Mall, which opened to the public on Monday.

The interior of the restaurant includes colorful glass jelly fish light fixtures, a glass octopus in the bar and an underground water feature in the lobby commissioned by a local artist.

This is the company’s first location not located on the waterfront. It’s open daily for lunch and dinner starting at 11 a.m. Seating is taken on a walk-in basis and families are welcome. Outside deck seating is available when the weather is warmer.

It’s located in the Terrace area of Alderwood next to the AMC-Loews Theatres. Complimentary valet parking is available.

    Should be “peek” inside.  “Peak” refers to the top of a mountain.

    I would say that my wife and I visited the new Anthony’s tonight, and we found the service excellent, the decor bright and appealing, and the fish & chips and mahi-mahi fish taco delicious…but that review would best be saved for yelp.com.

    Visited this establishment last Sunday, the 16th of October. I had anticipated it’s opening in hopes of a great seafood restaurant to replace McGrath’s,…which I sorely miss. Walking in, the place seems ENORMOUS and open. It doesn’t have that warm, restaurant feeling. There were more employees than guests it seemed. After being seated, I ordered a simple gin and tonic, and the waiter returned to my table about 5 minutes later to ask what my drink order was as he had forgotten it. Then we started with the calamari.  They were overcooked and chewy, and the “aioli” sauce was salty. I ordered the pan fried oysters as my entree and left the calamari uneaten.  The oysters were sad, soggy, and barely breaded at all. They were piled on the plate next to some sort of coleslaw-type side dish with a really odd flavor, and a large stack of freshly made french fries. Sadly, the french fries were the best part of the meal. I don’t have any plans to return to this establishment again, nor can I recommend it to anyone else. Very disappointing.
