A local band with a national following, the Bluegrass Regulators hail from Gig Harbor. Two members short today, bassist Josh Adkins, Molly Adkins on guitar, and mandolin virtuoso Martin Stevens nonetheless kept the crowd hopping.

Just a short drive from Lynnwood, the second annual Bluegrass on the Green festival is under way now, bringing world-class entertainment to the Nile Country Club in Mountlake Terrace.

Local bluegrass bands are taking the stage with bands from across the US, providing non-stop music and a wide variety of toe-tapping tunes.

And it’s not just music. There are vendor booths offering a variety of items for sale, a beer and wine garden, food vendors, raffles and more. And if you can’t find the right treat for your taste buds at the booths, walk over to the Nile Clubhouse where you’ll find the restaurant and bar in open and available to festival patrons.

There’s still one more day left, and the weather forecast looks perfect. Gates open at 8 a.m. and there’s a $5 pancake breakfast available for early birds. A full day ticket costs $20.

So pack up your lawn chair and c’mon over. You’ll be glad you did.
