City Council to hear report on City’s response to windstorm at Monday’s meeting

great dealThe Lynnwood City Council is scheduled to hear from Public Works Director Bill Franz on the City’s response to the Aug. 29 windstorm during Monday’s meeting.

The presentation will describe the effects of windstorm and the response and coordination of responders from many City departments. Some lessons learned and tasks for improving response in emergencies identified in a city-wide all-hands debrief on Sept. 8 also will be presented.

A work session will immediately precede the business meeting. The Council may be discussing two memo items – the awarding of a contract to a consultant for the Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Plan and a zoning code amendment that increases the lots allowed under short subdivisions.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Lynnwood Civic Center, Council Chambers, 19100 44th Ave. W., Lynnwood.
