Ribbon cutting, tours, and celebration of grand opening of the Workforce Re-Employment Center at WorkSource Lynnwood.
The Workforce Re-Employment Center at WorkSource Lynnwood is focused on providing services to workers impacted by the Boeing layoffs (including directly affected Boeing contractors, supply chain workers, and displaced homemakers). Workforce Snohomish received federal and state funding to open the Center which is staffed by Boeing Peer Workers, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Career Specialists and Trade Adjustment Act Case Managers. The funding will provide effective and efficient wrap-around services designed to steer laid off workers into meaningful and gainful employment.
All Dislocated Workers, regardless of previous employers have access to the same services through WIOA Title I funding. The additional grants for the Workforce Re-Employment Center expands the capacity of the WorkSource System in Snohomish and King Counties. The funding ensures that there is space and resources to accommodate affected workers while still providing quality services to the overall community.
