Lynnwood fire engine responding to call hit by car

A Lynnwood fire engine responding to a call on Highway 525 was hit by a car Sunday morning.

Engine 15 was assisting with a crash in the area when a vehicle crashed into it from behind.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital. No fire personnel were injured in the crash.

  1. So thankful the firefighters weren’t injured! Grateful for their wisdom, training and skill to continue to position their apparatus in this way to protect our first responders and the emergency scene/victims from inattentive drivers. Hard to believe some members of the public still get annoyed when first responders need to close large portions of roadway off during an emergency–this is why.
