Lynnwood Library Art Gallery hosts ‘Timeline’ exhibit by artist Jose Johann Bitancor

Timeline by Jose Johann BitancorThe Lynnwood Library Art Gallery hosts the “Timeline” Exhibit by artist Jose Johann Bitancor.

Bitancor’s multimedia art displays traces of the everyday from the use of materials and graphic devices that hint at what is real, be it an anecdote or a commentary.

His work, which he admits owing allegiance to the concerns of Picasso and Braque in treating reality as a springboard towards abstraction can be viewed at the Lynnwood Library Gallery through Jan. 23.

Bitancor’s lifelong fascination has been with the possibilities of transforming a given object or material from one state to another with the barest of means and achieving intended spontaneity through manipulation of tactile qualities and juxtaposition of elements.

Free to the public, the Lynnwood Library Gallery showcases local and regional artists on both the amateur and professional level.

Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.– 9 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sunday 1–5 p.m. The Library is closed on national holidays.

The Lynnwood Library is located at 19200 44th Ave W.
