May 2
A commercial burglary was reported in the 17200 block of Highway 99. A front glass door was shattered into the building and surveillance video shows a suspect looking through jewelry cases. However, nothing was believed to have been taken.

A vehicle prowl was reported in the 18900 block of 29th Avenue West. Gift cards and two purses were taken. A window to the vehicle was smashed.

A shoplifter was reported in the 4600 block of 196th Street Southwest. Merchandise valued at $59.24 was stolen and recovered.

May 3
A theft was reported in the 3000 block of 184th Street Southwest. Several hats were stolen, valued at $150 total.

A physical domestic dispute was reported in the 18900 block of Highway 99. A woman said she had gotten into a physical altercation with her sister and her sister’s boyfriend.

May 4
An incident of fraud was reported in the 3500 block of 180th Place Southwest. Mail had been stolen from a mailbox several years ago, and starting in February 2017, several false bank accounts and credit cards had been opened in the victim’s name.

A hit-and-run was reported in the 6200 block of 168th Street Southwest. Damage is estimated at $1,158.87.

A vehicle prowl was reported in the 4700 block of 176th Street Southwest. The vehicle’s registration and title were stolen.

A shoplifter was reported in the 3000 block of 184th Street Southwest. Electronics accessories and small electronics valued at a total of $248 were stolen.

May 5
An incident of shoplifting was reported in the 3100 block of 196th Street Southwest. Power tools valued at $259 were stolen.

Several community members reported a 25-pound turtle at large in the 5100 block of 200th Street Southwest. The turtle had been in the way of traffic, but a passer-by moved the turtle to the side of the road to keep it from getting hit by cars. It was unclear if it was a former pet that had been abandoned or if it was a wild turtle. It was transferred to an animal shelter for further investigation.

A stray dog was located in the 6900 block of 190th Street Southwest. It appeared to be an old dog that had trouble seeing and hearing. It was spotted along the back fence to a house it did not belong to. An officer was requested to remove the dog. The officer checked with several nearby residents to see if the owner could be located, but no one recognized the dog. It was taken to a local shelter.

A vehicle was reported stolen from the 17900 block of Ash Way. The victim knows who took the vehicle, as he loaned it to a friend in April. The friend never returned it.

May 6
A man was arrested for DUI in the 4900 block of 196th Street Southwest. A breath test showed the man, who was over the age of 21, had a 0.055 percent blood alcohol concentration, but he had failed several field sobriety tests.

A man was arrested for DUI in the 18800 block of Highway 99. After failing several field sobriety tests, the man blew a 0.105 percent blood alcohol concentration.

A dog bite was reported in the 18200 block of 52nd Avenue West. The dog was being controlled by his owner, a neighbor, who had the dog on leash. The victim walked past the dog and the dog bit her on her buttock. Two bloody teeth marks were visible on the victim’s buttock. The victim was going to go to the emergency room for treatment.

A shoplifter was reported in the 19400 block of Alderwood Mall Parkway. Approximately $700 worth of cosmetics and fragrance were stolen.

May 7
A theft was reported in the 3000 block of 184th Street Southwest. Two pairs of designer sunglasses, valued at a total of $550, were stolen from a store there.

A shoplifter was reported in the 4600 block of 196th Street Southwest. Two sweatshirts, a purse and a pair of boots were stolen, valued at a total of $404.98. The suspect was spotted on surveillance video.

May 8
A vehicle was reported stolen from the 6700 block of 164th Street Southwest.

An incident of disorderly conduct was reported in the 17600 block of Highway 99. Three separate people called 9-1-1 to report a man carrying several bags walking into traffic along the highway. A responding officer saw the man walk into traffic three times before being able to contact him. The man was aggressive toward the officer. He was arrested for disorderly conduct.

A vehicle prowl was reported in the 18800 block of Alderwood Mall Parkway. Following the incident, several checks had been forged and passed, as well as several unauthorized credit and debit card transactions.
