Meadowdale’s Smith wins state wrestling title
Meadowdale’s Morgan Smith took first place in the Class 3A 160-pound division at Mat Classic XXV Saturday night in the Tacoma Dome.
Smith captured a 4-2 decision over Oak Harbor’s Joshua Crebbin in the finals. Smith won 5-3 and 6-5 decisions on Friday and then recorded a pin at the 5:19 mark against Prairie’s Mario Gonzalez in the semifinals on Saturday.
Teammate Circian Ball took fourth at 195. Lynnwood’s Hunter Lord finished fourth in the Class 4A 160-pound division.
