William Edward Heymann, Jr.

William Edward Heymann Jr. (Bill), of Lynnwood, passed away on July 20, 2017 in the loving home of his daughter in Mountlake Terrace, at the age of 73.

Bill was born May 10, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York to William Heymann Sr. and Elizabeth Tackney. He joined the Air Force in 1965 and is a Vietnam War veteran where he earned several medals, including the Air Force Commendation Medal. Bill had a passion for aeronautical mechanics and worked at Boeing for over 25 years.

Bill was a devoted single dad who made many sacrifices in order to give his two children all he could, taking them to Disneyland often, supporting his daughter’s passion for ice skating and sending his son to a private high school O’Dea. Bill loved Ireland and was able to travel twice with his daughter and meet his family and see where his mother’s family was from. Bill anonymously donated to numerous charities.

Bill is survived by his two children: Bill and Christine (D.J.) and brother: John.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11am on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Holy Rosary (630 7th Ave N, Edmonds, WA 98020) with reception to follow. His ashes then will be committed to Holyrood Cemetery (205 Northeast 205th Street, Shoreline, WA 98155) at 1:30pm.
