Puget Sound Blood Center encourages people to donate blood

The Puget Sound Blood Center is reporting that inventory levels are low right now and encourages people to donate blood.

The Center said that the region is at 1-day levels of B neg, 2-day levels of O neg and A neg, and 3-day levels of O positive and A positive.

The Lynnwood Donation Center is located at 19723 Highway 99, Suite F. The hours of operation are as follows:

  • Monday and Tuesday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 12 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Call 800-398-7888 to make an appointment or make an appointment online.

Inventories are currently 15 percent below levels at this time last December. Patients having major surgeries, organ transplants, receiving trauma care or cancer treatment can quickly deplete the supply,

Donations decline during the holiday season with high schools and colleges on break, and people busy with vacations, family gatherings and social events.
