New Montessori celebrates grand opening today

A new Montessori in Lynnwood is celebrating its grand opening today.

Red Door Montessori will have a bouncy house, games and prizes from 1 – 5 p.m.  at 16715 52nd Ave. W.

The school was started by Barbara Boettcher, who spent 25 years in early childhood education and on raising her own kids.

“The underlying goal for our preschool will always be to instill in each child a love of learning that will last a lifetime,” said Boettcher.

The school is open to ages 3 to 6, and provides a discount to families of firefighters, police officers, and active military officers. For more information about the grand opening or enrollment, call 425-743-DOOR (3667) or visit reddoormontessori.com

  1. I knew Glanville, Barcheski, and Art Armijo among other quality educators at Central. As a Creston student, they were an influence on me as well. All of those educators you mentioned were influential and continue to serve as an influence years after the student has left. Many of those students wanted nothing to do with their guidance and teachings while in school but their words and lessons eventually soaked in.
