  1. Black-Tailed Deer seem to be increasing in the suburbs, from my anecdotal observations. I saw one in the median of I-5 at the I-405 interchange a couple years ago. A few months later there was one in Kirkland next to 405. Last fall there was one next to Paine Field a couple times as well. I’ve lived in the area for 30+ years and I don’t recall ever seeing deer in these areas. I enjoy seeing them, but I’ll be curious to see if the population keeps expanding and what the effects are.
