Swedish Edmonds announced Wednesday that is has hired Sandeep Sachdeva, M.D., as the hospital’s new vice president of medical affairs.
Sachdeva is board certified in internal medicine as well as hospice and palliative care medicine. He will begin his role on Sept. 8. Sachdeva takes on the position following the tenure of Timothy Roddy, M.D. who served as the hospital’s VPMA since 2007 and will continue on medical staff as a full-time urologist.

In his new role, Sachdeva will partner with the Swedish Edmonds chief executive and nurse executive on both strategy and operations and will focus on providing leadership and management support for all aspects of physician and provider practice. Sachdeva has served Swedish as a physician advisor for utilization and case management; chief of medicine at First Hill, Cherry Hill, Issaquah and Ballard; physician authenticator for the Global Trigger Tool at First Hill, Cherry Hill, Ballard and Issaquah; a member of the Swedish Medical Group Human Resources Committee; and chair of the Delirium Steering Committee for Swedish.
