95 arrests made countywide during St. Patrick’s Day DUI patrols

Nearly 100 impaired drivers were taken off the road during St. Patrick’s Day DUI emphasis patrols.
Lynnwood police, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington State Patrol were among the agencies who took part in the special patrols March 5- 18.

Lynnwood police reserve officer dies of cancer

Lynnwood police are mourning the loss of a colleague and friend.
62-year-old Mark San Diego, a reserve officer with the Lynnwood Police Department, died Wednesday night after a brief battle with cancer. He served 24 years and voluntarily left the department when he was diagnosed a few months ago.

Teens assaulted at two Lynnwood parks

Police are investigating a pair of assaults at two Lynnwood parks.
About 10:55 p.m. Sunday, two teenage girls were assaulted at Lynndale Park. About 10 minutes, three boys reported being assaulted at Scriber Lake Park. The nature of the assaults was not released although the injuries were not serious.
