Take a Stand Against Racism rally set for Friday

Lynnwood’s Neighborhoods & Demographic Diversity Commission and the YWCA of Snohomish County host the first Stand Against Racism event at 3:30 p.m., April 26.

The event will commence in front of the Lynnwood Senior Center located at 19000 44th Ave W.

There will be keynote addresses by Lynnwood’s Mayor Don Gough, Lynnwood City Council President Loren Simmonds, Diversity Commission Chair Shirley Sutton, and Senior Regional Director of the YWCA of Snohomish County Mary Anne Dillon-Bryant. There also will be a musical performance by local students, refreshments and resources available.
