The work of two young artists is on display at the Lynnwood Rec Center until April 21.
Claire Meng, 9, is a student at Cedarwood Elementary School.
“I drew these pictures. I was looking at a real life picture of the drawing I drew,” she said.
Jacqueline Oswalt, a senior in high school, grew up on Whidbey Island and now lives in Mukilteo. She studies art in school as well as on her own and hopes to inspire other kids to pursue art.
“Creating art and paintings has always been my passion since I was a child,” she said. “I love being able to express myself in a way that others can experience as well. I hope to be able to continue art in my future and further develop my style and technique as an artist.”
Their artwork can be seen at the Lynnwood Rec Center, 18900 44th Ave. W.
