Update: Suspect arrested in alleged arson of Lynnwood house

A suspect in the alleged arson of a Lynnwood house was arrested Monday by Lynnwood Police after he was released from the hospital.

The man had been transported to Swedish Hospital in Edmonds after being assisted out of the house fire by firefighters on Sunday night from the house in the 6200 block of 193rd St. SW. in Lynnwood. Detectives are booking the man into jail for Arson 1 and Attempted Murder 1.

On Sunday at about 7:10 p.m., the Lynnwood Police and Fire Departments responded to the residential house fire. Two occupants, a man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s, were both transported to area hospitals. The man was the suspect arrested by police.
