National Association of Counties President Sallie Clark recently appointed Snohomish County Councilmember Stephanie Wright to serve as Vice-Chair of the International Economic Development Task Force for 2015-16.
This task force helps guide the national organization on county-level engagement in international economic development activities and facilitates the exchange of information, ideas and resources regarding this crucial area of the economy.
“I am honored by this opportunity to represent our county,” Wright said. “It is important that we develop policies to expand the reach of Snohomish County, of the products we manufacture and grow here, and to promote our county as the best place to live, work and invest.”
The National Association of Counties is comprised of representatives from 3,069 county governments, advocating on national policy and the development of transformational and cost-effective local solutions to county-level issues. Wright also serves on the NACo Justice and Public Safety Steering Committee, the NACo Veterans and Military Services Committee, and is vice president of the Washington State Association of Counties.
