A group of about 100 Comcast employees from the Lynnwood area, along with neighbors, friends and family members, gathered on Saturday, April 21 to help with maintenance and upkeep at Farmer Frog’s Paradise Farm.
Farmer Frog’s Paradise Farm is located in Woodinville. Farmer Frog is a nonprofit which turns underutilized land into environmentally sound, food-producing farms and gardens
and teaches children and families how to grow and cultivate their own food.
Volunteers from the Lynnwood Comcast office helped build aquaponics gardens, built a hoop house and constructed new greenhouses and fences. A kids volunteer team planted over 100 strawberry plants throughout the farm.
“More than 4,700 employees call Washington home, and giving back to our own communities means a lot to us,” said Amy Lynch, regional vice president of Comcast’s Washington region. “This year we worked alongside our community partners to help ensure that people from all walks have access to the resources, services and technology that can help improve their quality of life.”
