WSDOT just posted a time lapse video of last weekend’s construction project on I-5 at 196th.
From the video description:
It’s difficult to explain in words what we are doing up there. In short, we are separating the traffic that comes off and on at these busy interchanges between I-405 and 196th Street, Lynnwood’s big retail hub. Separating the traffic into neat, organized lanes will reduce congestion and the number of collisions. Traffic will just flow better.
We are close to completing all the work on this $33 million project. Mid-October is the deadline to have a majority of the ramps open.
