I-5 off-ramp to 196th in Lynnwood closed Wednesday night

Drivers traveling southbound on I-5 through Lynnwood should plan for a full closure of the southbound I-5 off-ramp to  SR 524 (196th Street SW) on Wednesday, March 24.

WSDOT will begin closing lanes at 9 p.m. and will reopen the ramp by 5 a.m. Drivers in the area are advised to exit early or allow extra time for their trips. A signed detour will direct drivers to take the off-ramp to  220th Street SW and follow northbound SR 99 to 196th Street SW.

During the closure crews will set two girders for a new pedestrian bridge. This work is part of the city of Lynnwood’s I-5/196th Street SW Interchange – Pedestrian Improvement project.
