Car crashes into a house on 212th Street SW

This lucky 5-year-old boy wasn't home when the car crashed into his bedroom.

A car crashed into a  house today in south Lynnwood. It happened about 11:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of 212th Street SW, on the border with Mountlake Terrace.

I spoke to the renter named Nick when I dropped by this afternoon. He, his wife and young daughter were home when they heard a loud thud that shook the whole house. Fortunately their 5-year-old son wasn’t home at the time. His bedroom is where the car landed.

Fire District 1 medics took the 24-year-old man who was driving to Stevens Hospital. Police officials haven’t said yet what caused the crash, but Nick said the medics believe it might have been a seizure or other medical emergency because there were no skid marks leading up to the scene.
