Trinity Lutheran Church in Lynnwood is hosting a series of three presentations through its Sowing Seeds of Hope mission. The topic is “Stop Human Trafficking Locally & Globally,” and the presentations run from 7-8:30 p.m. starting this Thursday, April 14.

The Long Night- Watch this deeply moving film set in Seattle. This feature documentary film gives voice and meaning to the crisis of minors who are forced and coerced into the American sex trade. The film weaves together the stories of seven people whose lives are forever changed by domestic minor sex trafficking. It is filmed and directed by award-winning photojournalist Tim Matsui.

REST: Real Escape from the Sex Trade – REST is a local nonprofit organization. Learn about the demand for purchased sex and the women who live “the life.” Learn how one organization is trying to provide a pathway to freedom, safety and hope through direct outreach, case management, restorative housing and mentorship.
