The domestic violence program of the Lynnwood Police Department has a new set of wheels, thanks to a donation from Acura of Lynnwood.
The dealership has offered up a 2012 Acura MDX that will be used to assist the crime prevention unit with public education.
“While supporting Pathways For Women, we see the result of how domestic violence negatively impacts families and the community, so we hope this helps in the education process for the public,” said Jim Morino, owner of Acura of Lynnwood.
Among other things, the car will be used to transport domestic violence victims to court or to safe locations.
