Scholar and author Angela Davis will be the featured speaker Thurs., Jan 17 at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration in Lynnwood.
Davis speaks at Edmonds Community College 12:30 p.m., Jan 17 in the Black Box Theatre, 20000 68th Ave. W.
She speaks to the community 6:30 p.m. that evening at the Lynnwood Convention Center, 3711 196th Street.
Mayor of Lynnwood, Don Gough, will welcome the community to the evening event along with Edmonds School District Superintendent Nick Brossoit and Edmonds Community College President Dr. Jean Hernandez.
