Bear Dog run to benefit PAWS

If you and your pooch love a good run, then head over to Mill Creek for the Karelian Bear Dog program second annual 5K event on March 23.

This 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk starts at 10 a.m. on the Everett-Seattle Interurban Trail entrance behind Department of Fish and Wildlife Regional Office, located at 16018 Mill Creek Blvd. in Mill Creek . Everett-Seattle Interurban Trail is a flat paved surface with soft shoulders and stroller friendly. A limited selection of t-shirts will be available on race days for only $15. Parking, day-of-race registration and number pickup will be from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Karelian Bear Dogs are used to assist with wildlife management in a variety of ways across the state, including serving as an integral part of the Black Bear release program at PAWS. This joint fundraiser highlights the work of the KBD program, and during the event they will be collecting food donations for the animals at PAWS.
