Boys tennis: Mavericks blank Tomahawks 7-0

Meadowdale mixed up its lineup and still easily defeated Marysville-Pilchuck 7-0 in a Western Conference 3A boys tennis match Friday at Marysville-Pilchuck High School.

Bret Matysik, normally the No. 2 singles player, moved up to the No. 1 slot and beat Jacob Bansberg 6-0, 6-0. Defending district singles champion Nick Ekern teamed up with Justin Ridley and the two beat Owin Ell/Trent Tingestad  6-0, 6-2 in the No. 1 doubles match.

The Mavericks won every set and lost only 10 games in the seven matches.
