Breaking ground at the New Alderwood Middle School

Future students, staff, parents, families, along with representatives from the architecture and construction companies that will be building the new Alderwood Middle School were on hand Monday afternoon for a Groundbreaking Ceremony.

The groundbreaking was led by 12 future students of Alderwood Middle School, five incoming eighth graders and seven incoming seventh graders. The ceremony followed brief remarks by Alderwood Middle Prinicipal Erin Murphy, Edmonds School District Superintendent Nick Brossoit, Edmonds School District Vice President, Board of Directors Gary Noble, Integrus Architecture’s Brian Carter and Skanska Executive Vice President Chris Toher. Members of the Alderwood Middle School Saxophone Quartert also performed.
