Brighton School Second Graders Feed Hungry
Brighton School’s second grade class poses in front of some of the food they helped package for the Children of the Nations charity.

Students at Brighton School are fulfilling their commitment to be community builders and help people in their neighborhoods and around the world through a recent project.

The students supported Children of the Nations, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing children with nutritionally balanced, ready to cook meals.

Brighton School students raided their piggy banks and raised $5,025 to purchase food for the hungry. Students then donned hair nets, and loaded dry beans and other food ingredients into a soup packaging device to construct food packets to aid orphans and destitute children. In all they packaged some 18,586 meals for hungry children in Africa and the Caribbean.
