This week firefighters from Fire District 1 took part in a drill simulating a school bus that has overturned and crashed into a building.

The drill used a surplus school bus from the Edmonds School District filled with simulated smoke and several mannequins in need of rescue. The scenario is designed to give firefighters the opportunity to practice response to an incident with multiple casualties, fire and extrication of trapped patients.
