The Lynnwood Art Commission is inviting visual artists of all ages residing in Washington to apply to have their work displayed in the Lynnwood Public Library gallery space.

For over 17 years, The Lynnwood Arts Commission has organized and selected works of art to be exhibited in the gallery space. The Lynnwood Arts Commission will select artists for 6-week exhibitions in 2016; artists selected will be notified by November.

The gallery is located inside the Lynnwood Library at 19200 44th Ave W, Lynnwood. The total space is 35 linear feet accommodating 20-25 pieces of medium sized art plus one display case. The commission encourages artists to visit and preview the space. All artwork displayed must remain installed for the specified duration of the exhibit.

Original small two dimensional work measuring up to 36″ x 36″ that is matted and framed or gallery wrapped and ready-to-hang and/or three dimensional work up to 12″ x 12″ x 12″ can be displayed.

This is a public space visited by people of many cultures, nationalities, and ages. The commission reserves the right to not exhibit work that it deems unsuitable for the public space.

Applications are due by Sept. 30 with full instructions online at https://www.ci.lynnwood.wa.us/PlayLynnwood/Arts.htm.
