Avoid a knock on your door: Mail your census form by today's deadline

TODAY is the deadline to mail back your 2010 Census form.

If you did not receive a questionnaire in the mail or you need another, you can pick them up and drop them off at  the following locations:

Lynnwood City Hall (19100 44th Ave. W.)
Fire Station 15 (18800 44th Ave. W.)
Lynnwood Senior Center (5800 198th St. SW)

Starting May 1, Census workers will go door-to-door to households that did not send in a completed form.

So why should you care? Community planners rely on census data to make the case for providing critical social services and funding for community programs. Census data also helps determine how federal funds are distributed.

The map below shows the current response rate for the city of Lynnwood (click for a larger view.) The area north of 196th St. SW and west of 76th Ave. W. has the highest response rate, and the area south of 196th St. SW and east of Highway 99 has the lowest.
