Chef Karen Jurgensen to cook, sign copies of her book at Whole Foods

Chef Karen Jurgensen, currently the Chef Instructor at the Seattle Culinary Academy, will be cooking up samples and signing copies of her book from 1-3 p.m. Feb. 23 at Whole Foods Market in Lynnwood.

Jurgensen gets her inspiration to cook from her grandmother who took her foraging and showed her the adventures of working in a kitchen. She teaching farm-to-table practices and philosophy to professional chefs, culinary students, and agricultural professionals at the Seattle Culinary Academy.

Chefs on the Farm is a visually rich tour of an organic farm and its community, where award-winning chefs and other cooks learn sustainable food practices.
