City Council Oct. 28 set to decide on displaced tenant task group ordinance


At its Oct. 28 business meeting, the Lynnwood City Council is scheduled to make a final decision on a motion to form a task group to draft an ordinance that would help displaced low-income residents.

At its Oct. 14 business meeting, Councilmember George Hurst made the motion proposing the formation of an ad hoc task group. During a discussion on the matter, the council proposed four amendments to the motion that will also be decided on at the meeting. The motion was discussed further during the council’s Oct. 21 work session.

In other business, the council will also adopt a proclamation in honor of Veterans Day.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Lynnwood City Hall Council Chambers, 19100 44th Ave. W., Lynnwood. You can see the complete agenda here.
