The city of Lynnwood is in the process of design for the Poplar Way Extension Bridge and invites the public and all other interested parties to an open house from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 30 at the Lynnwood Council Chambers.
The purpose of the open house will be to provide information regarding the project and seek public comment.
The Poplar Way Extension Bridge project proposes to improve connectivity and mobility within the Lynnwood City Center by extending Poplar Way via a new bridge over I-5, from 196th Street (SR 524) to Alderwood Mall Boulevard. The project will also include roadway improvements to SR 524 west and east of Poplar Way, to Poplar Way south of SR 524, Alderwood Mall Boulevard, and 33rd Ave. West. The Interurban Trail west of I-5 will be lowered in the area where the trail crosses under the alignment for the extension of Poplar Way.
