Owners of the new indoor flea market City Marketplace say they had a very successful opening weekend.
Kim Boltz said today they had more than 1,100 people through the door on Saturday.
“We had over 30 new vendors sign up yesterday and our market is full this morning with all new vendors and a lot of antique dealers. This is very exciting. After working so hard with the city, this has really come together and going to give very small business owners the opportunity for success and to be part of such a great concept. The feedback we got from the public and those interested in starting their own business was so positive,” she said.
The Boltz family expects to fill a demand for flea markets after the closure of the Puget Park Drive-In Swap Meet in south Everett. There’s even talk of developing a weekly farmer’s market, although they haven’t announced when that might happen.
City Marketplace is located at 172nd Street SW and Highway 99 and is open Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
