The city of Lynnwood can pay for trees that residents want to plant on their property.
The City Council created a Tree Grant program which provides money for individuals who wish to beautify their landscape by planting trees. These funds come from fees paid by development projects that remove trees.
As summer begins, outdoor and yard improvement projects come into view. This is an ideal time to reflect on the benefits that trees provide.
For qualifications and the application, go to https://www.ci.lynnwood.wa.us/City-Services/Environmental-Management/Tree-Regulations-and-Information.htm, stop by City Hall, or call 425-670-5200.
Nothing from this link takes me to anything to do with free trees~
The link has been fixed. Go to https://www.ci.lynnwood.wa.us/City-Services/Environmental-Management/Tree-Regulations-and-Information.htm and scroll down to tree voucher form. Thanks for letting us know.
Apparently this is an OLD program as Emerys hasn’t been in business for almost 2 years. Even though I live in north Lynnwood, since I’m in unincorporated Snohomish County I can’t use this program 🙁
