City provides update for Interurban Trail South project

The City of Lynnwood provided the following update to the Interurban Trail South project, which will complete a “missing link” in the Interurban Trail by providing a continuous bicycle/pedestrian corridor that is separated from traffic and/or located in the Interurban (PUD) corridor from 212th to the Existing Trail Corridor.

This week, the contractor intends to set up the project message boards within the limits of the site to notify residents, businesses and commuter traffic that work is expected to occur next week.

Next week, on March 26, the contractor intends to mobilize. On Thursday, March 29 through Monday, April 2, they plan to set up the traffic control and detour plan.

The following week, April 2-6, The contractor plans to do demolition on the north side of 212th Street Southwest in preparation for the underground utility work expected to start the following week.
