City seeks volunteers for citizen board and commission vacancies

The city of Lynnwood is looking for volunteers to fill vacancies on several advisory boards and commissions.

Currently, the Arts Commission, Historical Commission, Library Board, Parks & Recreation Board, and the Neighborhoods & Demographic Diversity Commission are all seeking new members. No experience or education is necessary.

Volunteers advise city staff on projects and advocate to the mayor and city council on policies that matter to the community.

Boards and commissions typically meet once per month. A majority of board and commission members must live within Lynnwood city limits and be registered voters, but several board and commissions have β€˜at-large positions.’
