As spring cleaning kicks into high gear, a local charity hopes you’ll keep them in mind.
Clothes for Kids is in need of new or gently used clothing of all types and sizes, but especially boys sizes 4 – 16.
Clothes for Kids is a Lynnwood-based non-profit that serves low-income children in Snohomish County, primarily in Lynnwood and Edmonds. They rely on donations and don’t receive funding from any larger organization. They also help kids in emergency situations such as fires or sudden relocation. Children can shop for spring or fall wardrobes in a “retail store environment.” They’re on pace to serve 600 kids this year.
You can donate at 16725 52nd Avenue W. Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Tuesday or Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m.
Clothes for Kids is also hosting a fund-raising wine and cheese tasting event on Saturday, April 10 at Patterson Cellars in Woodinville. Tickets for “Sip into Spring” are $40 and can be purchased at their Web site.
