Lynnwood-based Clothes for Kids, which provides school wardrobes for children in need in the Edmonds School District, has announced that it raised more than $24,000 at its Annual Celebrate The Children Dessert and Wine Event last month.
“Special thanks to the venue Holy Rosary for the amazing space and Finale’s Desserts and Big E Ales for refreshments and Auctioneer Lance Lambert,” Clothes for Kids said in its announcement. The My Neighborhood News Network of online community news websites (My Edmonds News, Lynnwood Today and MLTnews) was an event sponsor, along with HomeStreet Bank, Molina Health Care and All Things HR, LLC.
Clothes for Kids will reopen for back-to-school shopping on Wednesday, Aug. 24. Parents simply need to ask for the Clothes for Kids Requisition for Clothing form from the school office, which includes dates and times they are are open, directions and a map. No appointment is necessary, but families must bring the form with them when they come to get clothes.
Students can get their forms before the end of school in June or when the school offices reopen in August.
And if you would like to volunteer for opening week, call 425-741-6500 or email nlaird@clothesforkids.org.
