Clothes For Kids extends shopping days in December

With the cold weather here, Clothes For Kids is extending its hours to serve the community.

Clothes For Kids will be open through Dec. 20 for families to get their school wardrobe. It will reopen after the holidays on Jan. 6 and remain open through February. The Lynnwood-based non-profit organization has an excellent inventory available for low-income students in Snohomish County.

Students qualify for Clothes For Kids through the school free and reduced lunch program. If they reside and attend school in Snohomish County they simply go to their school office and request a Clothing Requisition Form. All the information they need is on the form including store hours and dates of operation. Set up like a retail store the students have the opportunity to choose from new and gently used clothing. The only difference is that there is no cash register.

“Thanks to generous contributions from the community we have an excellent inventory and are excited to provide students with their winter wardrobe.” said Nancy Laird-Burris, Program Manager for Clothes For Kids.
