Lynnwood physician drops out of U.S. Senate race, enters state race

Dr. Art Coday, a physician who practices in Lynnwood, has dropped out of the U.S. Senate race and has entered the race for the 32nd Legislative District. The 32nd District covers the southern part of Edmonds and Woodway, as well as Shoreline, Lake Forest Park and Kenmore.

He posted a statement on his website, a portion of which is below.

With high regard and admiration for all the other U.S. Senate candidates, it is clear to me that Dino Rossi has the best chance to defeat Senator Murray, so I am suspending my campaign and enthusiastically endorsing Dino Rossi for U.S. Senate.

I’m also announcing today my candidacy for the open State Representative position in the 32nd Legislative District.

My campaign for state representative will present unmistakably common sense solutions to the issues troubling the people of the 32nd Legislative District – our children’s education, transportation gridlock, and public safety.
