This Federal Emergency Management Agency course is about keeping yourself and your family safe and assisting others in a disaster situation until help arrives. Students learn hands-on skills to extinguish small ﬁres, provide medical triage and treatment,conduct urban search and rescue, and other disaster response skills.
The ﬁnal class on March 5 is a realistic disaster simulation for students to practice what they have learned over the eight week course. The fee is $45. Register by contacting Vickie Fontaine, 425-776-3722 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The course is for those 18 and older and will be held at the Northshore Fire Station #51 in Kenmore. Classes are from 7-10 p.m.
