Tonight the Lynnwood City Council could vote on two major issues.
First, they’re expected to decide whether to enact a $20 vehicle registration fee to fund road projects. It will take place during the Transportation Benefit District board meeting which begins at 6 p.m. in Council chambers.
Then during the Council’s regular meeting they’re expected to vote on a resolution to officially censure Mayor Don Gough and ask him to resign. The mayor has been at the center of a personnel investigation about his dealings with city employees. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. but the resolution is towards the end of the agenda.
The investigative report still has not been released despite our public disclosure request for a copy. It’s expected to be released Thursday afternoon unless Mayor Gough takes legal action to prevent that.
We’ll be following the developments closely and will provide live updates on Twitter and here on Lynnwood Today.
