Popular hangout reopens after major renovation

Daverthump’s Pub reopened tonight with a new name, a new look and new owners.

The popular bar near 196th and 44th was closed for a month-and-a-half-long renovation. It’s now known as Daverthump’s Too.

There’s a new pool room with fresh felt on the tables, a new DJ/stage area, a dance floor and upgraded restrooms. Even the menu was overhauled.

  1. Duh-oh, something's wrong. It looks just like the old Daverthumps and I haven't been in it for over 3 years. What did they change besides re-felting the pool tables and putting in a piece of flooring? This is news?!

  2. The last owners let the place slide so it needed a real good deep cleaning. The walls are freshly painted, there is new carpeting throughout. Thepull tab bowls are all new. The floor in the bar got some care as well as the edge of the bar being reupholstered. The outside was freshened up with new paint and new decorative ropes.
There are new beers and new food offerings.
You're just not very observant. Stop by again and give it a closer look.
